To setup wireless print, first you need: A printer A wireless network A computer to host the printer
ENABLING PRINTER SHARING ON HOST COMPUTER
-First, make sure your printer is hooked up to a computer on your wireless network. -Find the full computer name of the printers computer, and make note of it (right click my computer, go to properties, and go to 'computer name' tab) -On the host computer, click Start > Control Panel -Open Printers and Faxes -Right click your printer and click 'Sharing' -Under the Sharing tab, Share this printer, and decide a name (remember it) -Restart host computer, and print a test document from the host computer
Selecting your computers to PRINT WIRELESSLY
-From the computer you want to setup for wireless, click Start > Run -Type the following command "\ (remember the computer name? it's described in section above how to find) -If setup correctly, after a moment, a window of all shared files/printers SHOULD show up -Find the printer you want to print to, and right click. Choose 'Set as Default Printer' -Restart the computer you are trying to print from, and print a test page
If this has not worked, these are likely reasons for failure.
-Your wireless network is not setup correctly -The printer is not set as default printer -Incorrect software is being used
